WHAT
IS CHRIST WORKS DAY?

Christ Works Day is the annual Christ-exalting Event sponsored by Higher
Cause Productions (HCP) at the Lincoln Memorial. Christ Works Day is
held annually in honor of Our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST to celebrate
the Unity in the Body of Christ and to help the world realize that only
Jesus Christ can heal the ills of today's society (I Kings 18: 19-39)
PURPOSE (Condensed)
The primary purpose of "Christ Works" Day is to provide people
with (1) proven alternatives to the many problems faced in today's society
(through Christ Jesus), and offer (2) people an opportunity for public
observance, witness, and thanks to God for the many wonderful works He's
performed in each and every one of their lives.
CHRIST WORKS DAY HISTORY.
"Christ Works" Day was established by Higher Cause Productions
to promote the works, will, and name of Jesus Christ. Like Elijah's
demonstration that offered the people of his time a witness of God's
existence and power (Kings 18: 19-39), Christ works day was established
to provide that same opportunity for today's generation. As such, the
day was established to proclaim and bear witnesses to the power of a
working and able GOD.

The first "Christ Works Day" was held on October 10, 1999,
and hosted a roster of Christian talent, speakers, and clergy. Together,
they helped us publicize that Jesus Christ was the true answer to all
of today's problems. That event was held at Washington's Lincoln Memorial
and covered such topics as Drug Abuse, Financial Freedom, Faith and
Deception, Depression, Homelessness, Homosexuality, and Spousal Abuse
and Relationships. Since the day's original conception, however, the
vision for the event has been broadened. "Christ Works" Day
now includes (as part of its celebration) a time of reflection, re-dedication,
thanksgiving, acknowledgement, a Rally For Signatures (a Christian Signing
in support of a particular cause), and prayer for those personal works
God has performed in each of our lives, Prayer for our leaders and local
and national needs, and Prayer for what's going on in the world around
us. Thus, "Christ Works" Day has now become a day of Christian
proclamation, witness, personal observance and reflection, and re-dedication
to our personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
CHRIST WORK DAY GOAL
The main goal of "Christ Works" Day is to advance and highlight
the name of Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father's ability to provide
real and positive change in one's life. Secondly, the goal for the day
is to offer the body of Christ an opportunity to come together (as one)
to celebrate and acknowledge the greatness and glory of God's love in
their lives. Lastly, the final goal of the day is to offer the world what
God has to say about the many issues going on in the world today. By doing
this we witness to the world that a person can improve his/her surroundings
and existence by accepting our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, into his/her
life.
